Gary Paulsen workshop

The North Platte Woodcarvers hosted a 2 day Gary Paulsen workshop in February of 2000. A variety of projects were offered, trolls, eagle and wolf busts and others.

Gary offers a laid back style of instruction that was very refreshing. He let everyone pick a different project and then came around periodically to check progress, answer questions and give advise.

The class worked from a cut out and by the end of the second day most everyone had a finished the carving or had it to a point they could finish on their own at home. In spite of the snow storm that prevented some potential students from attending, this was a fun and informational workshop. The North Platte Woodcarvers are hoping to get the opportunity to host a show with Gary again in the future.
